Brown Bag Campaign: Valentines Day 1000
The response to the “Withoutlove Brown Bag Campaign” has been amazing! We have had almost 70 reblogs already! That is HUGE!!!
Today I want to announce the Valentines Day 1000.
I have set a goal of collecting 1000 pictures (bags) by Valentines Day! (Big thanks to http://www.mansitrivedi.com for the great idea)
What do you think?
Valentines day is a day dedicated to love and passion and maybe this year… compassion?
Can you imagine if we were able to collect 1000 bags before the countdown ends? What could that mean?
What if we collected 1000 bags with 10 food items per bag? That’s 10,000 items!
Here’s all you need to do:
1) Go to the grocery store, pick up a brown paper bag, and fill it with non-perishable foods. (Canned vegetables, canned fruit, rice, pasta, peanut butter in plastic jars, canned fruit juice, dried ceral, oatmeal, cookies, crackers, ect.)
2) Take a picture of what you collected and post it to your blog.
3) Email withoutloveblog [at] gmail.com / or twitter @withoutlove The link to your picture and how many cans you collected and I will reblog your picture. (so that we can keep a running tab, and keep everyone updated)
4) Deliver the food to the reputable food bank of your choice. (Just google food banks near you)
5) Encourage your friends to do the same.
6) go to the withoutlove twitter page or follow this blog to stay updated with how many cans of food get collected. (http://twitter.com/withoutlove)
Other way’s you can help:
Anyone have a Twitter account? You can help too. Do you think we could get 1000 people to follow http://www.twitter.com/withoutlove? Encourage your friends/twitter followers to follow @withoutlove and then tweet about the Brown Bag Campaign and attach this link: http://tinyurl.com/9xe6mt
I want to thank everyone who has helped get this campaign off the ground by sending emails or reblogging and talking about the “Brown Bag Campaign”
Some day I will hug everyone of you.
